Create something out of nothing
I suppose this is my design philosophy. The conversation with the prospective client usually goes down like this:

Interwebs 2.0 fresh sleek cloud... I want something with a rainbow gradient. That's dope!
Me
Right on. [Long pause]... But how about if we...
You get the idea. But seriously, if you're given a blank page, how do you start? What inspires you? I've been faced with this problem many times. Hers's a selection of work I've done — where I like to think I started with nothing.
I am essentially a one man band, specializing in the front-end side of web development. Working as a freelancer and an instructor in this cut-throat industry, there is no choice but to stay on top of my game to stay afloat. In addition to marking up with HTML5 and CSS3, I'm also teaching myself to develop with Ruby on Rails.
